Arriving At Sunnybank
Arrival time is any time after 4pm unless prior arrangements have been made with us. Please contact me on my mobile 07837063054 if you need any directions or are going to be much later than 4pm so that I can ensure I am at Sunnybank to greet you, hand over the keys and show you around.
A homemade cake will be waiting you on your arrival at Sunnybank.
We are happy to meet provisions if guests prefer to shop on-line and have it delivered direct to Sunnybank.

At Sunnybank we have a large selection of tourist information, walks and books on the area to help you plan what you are going to do during your stay. We are always willing to help with any extra advice or information if needed.
We provide two easy to use manuals which are kept in the kitchen:
- Instruction Manual on how to work everything in Sunnybank.
- Information Manual on pubs, shops emergency contacts etc.
These will hopefully help your holiday run smoothly.
Local Shops
Hemyock boasts a very well stocked Spar 'Eight 'till Late' where most provisions can be purchased, including newspapers, magazines and a good selection of beer, wine and spirits and DVD film hire. There is also a Post Office which sells a good selection of provisions. The nearest town is Wellington and has a small selection of shops and supermarkets (including a Somerfield, Asda and Waitrose). For a larger supermarket the closest is Tesco in Cullompton otherwise Taunton, Honiton or Exeter are the next closest major shopping towns.
There are many local food producers who sell a wide range of high quality products that can be purchased directly or from one of the many farmers and village markets operating in the Blackdown Hills. The closest to Sunnybank are Ellises Farm and Kittow Cattle Ltd.
Eating Out
The Castle Hotel in Taunton, The Masons Arms in Knowstone and The Pig at Combe near Honition are very highly regarded, for those who wish to 'splash-out' a little.
The nearest Pub to Sunnybank is The Catherine Wheel in Hemyock. It serves good beer and quality basic pub grub.There are many other good pubs in the area; The Culm Valley in Culmstock, The Half Moon in Clayhidon, The Holmon Clavel at Culmhead, The Blue Ball in Sampford Arundel and The York Inn in Churchinford. All provide high quality food and a warm welcome!
Slightly further afield but still easily reached is The Sidmouth Arms in Upottery , The Ashill Arms in Ashill and the Globe in Appley ; all are worth a visit.
Wellington hosts a wide variety of 'Take-Aways' to suit all tastes.
